Nick Jones has done a little research regarding the mobile sites of many of the large agencies and what he has found might surprise you...it looks like many don't render well (or at all) as mobile sites. As more and more search moves to mobile, it is imperative that any site should either have device recognition and display a mobile version of the site or the site should be compatible with the largest cross section of mobile devices (and the most relevant for the industry).
