pixel art. beatles inspired. wow.


Jonathan Lewis has created some amazing pixel art inspired by The Beatles album covers called The Pixles. The above piece entitled Magical Mystery Tour and the one below, Yellow Submarine. To get a better appreciation for the entire collection and to really understand it, head over to this page on his site. Take a look at all of the album covers together and let your eyes go out of  focus. It's magic. I love the way a few squares and colors can represent so much more in our minds. Well done Jonathan.

It is amazing that such simple designs can bring up perfect images in our minds. I think the fact that they are of iconic covers helps...our mind is able to fill in the pieces. Very cool!
