According to Mashable, a hospital district in California recently placed an order for 100 iPads to help the staff with tasks such as email x-rays and EKG results. We have now seen reports of several hospitals doing so and are ready to call this a trend. These early adopters will pave the way for more mainstream adoption in the future as hospitals realize the potential cost- and time-savings of these devices.
